When You Should Request a Refund (and When You Should Not)

VetClaims.ai is committed to providing transparency about refund eligibility. This guide outlines when refunds are appropriate based on the VetClaims.ai Terms of Service.

When You May Qualify for a Refund

Refund requests are reviewed by the Customer Advocacy and Resolution and Appeals Department and may be considered when:

  • You completed your documents, but the VA later awarded benefits that contradict the strategy provided
  • An administrative error occurred on our end
  • Your claim circumstances changed before document creation began

Each case is evaluated individually.

When Refunds Are Not Approved

Refunds are typically denied when:

  • You missed your C&P exam (read more about this cause for ineligibility here)
  • You did not submit your claim to the VA
  • You didn’t follow required steps in the process
  • Your claim is still pending and not fully decided
  • You request a refund after documents were completed and quality-checked
  • Your outcome aligns with the evidence available at the time of documentation

Missed exams are specifically noted in the Terms of Service as non-refundable, since missing a VA exam directly affects claim outcomes.

Why Refund Requests Must Go Through the Customer Advocacy and Resolution Appeals Department

The VetClaims.ai Appeals team evaluates:

  • Your VA decision
  • Your claim strategy
  • Your documents
  • Your exam results
  • Any missing or conflicting elements

This ensures your request is reviewed fairly and consistently.
